Project Guardian was created to specify a problem and explain how to solve these issues. Some things are hard to specify, this is a page for the general ideas for online safety.

While being online, try to stay to "safe sites", many pornographic and illegal sites are full of viruses, dialers, adware, etc. Staying away from these sites can keep your computer alot safer. Trusting site that are fully legitimate are safe (for the most part, some are not fully trustworthy). Use common sense is a good tip, if your going to do something illegal, you'll pay the price one way or another (criminal charges and/or computer issues as named above).

When making business transactions, be sure that the site is secure. New Internet Explorer updates will warn you about this (so will Mozilla's Firefox). As a safety measure, make sure you see a lock to the lower left hand of the "internet window", it is located to the right site on the bottom of the internet windows (not the webpage). This lock image indicates that the site is "secure" (or has an encryption on transactions). This can be a very important step in keeping your personal information (like bank information, credit numbers, etc) safe.

(Note: This section will be built upon as more issues come to my eyes).
