Viruses can be very dangerous to a computer. Some can make your computer shutdown randomly, others can even take over your computer and do whatever the hacker wants. It's very important to stay protected from viruses, i'm here to help you with this task. Below are a list of anti-virus programs that will aid you in this fight. If you need a free anti-virus then try This page).

My choice of virus protection has always been McAfee. Many people don't like them, but I find their program to be easy to follow and customize. The "virus definitions" are always being updated, which is quite helpful to stay on top of new virus threats.

McAfee

I just recently heard about Eset Anti-virus and it's technology. Supposedly Microsoft has used Eset for the past 4 years in their labs. It's supposed to save system resources (to let the system run faster) and have leading technology. I have never used this service but it sounds to be one of the best.

I've heard Panda is the leader in anti-virus technology, and they offer quite alot on their site (even free products). I have tried their anti-virus program but didn't feel secure when I used it. The program felt too simple and un-customizable. I'm not sure where I stand with Panda, but I do love their company. Their website is always up-to-date and offers alot of services to help protect you from attacks.

Panda Software

Many people love Norton Anti-virus, but I find it to be a very confusing program that is hard to customize. Whenever I tried Norton, it always had a problem finding updates, or I couldn't customize to fit my needs.

Symantec

I have just recently heard about Trend Micro. I hear they are a good company with a good program but I have never used them before. Microsoft says they are a leading anti-virus company, but I've never had the chance to test how effective they really are.
